Nikhita is keen on identifying and understanding the root causes of the challenges in the housing sector and working towards them through a solution-oriented mindset. This interest encouraged her to work with IHF and gain relevant exposure in the sector. As an UnATHI Fellow, she is working with the Government of Haryana in its aim to provide ‘housing for all’ under PMAY-U Mission.
During her postgraduation programme, she undertook an opportunity to learn about the housing conditions of the industrial workers and created a proposal on 'Planning Strategies for Industrial Workers' Housing'.
Nikhita is an alumna of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar with a Masters in Urban Planning (2019-2021). She undertook one year of professional experience as an architect after completing B. Arch from Chitkara University (2013-2018).
