Housing For All
Indian Housing Federation is a non-profit that aims to enable access to affordable housing for customers from the low-income segment. IHF plans to do this through methods like real-time market aggregation, dissemination of sector-relevant information, engagement with all stakeholders and a rigorous ratings system.
Working with citizen sector organisations that understand the low-income community deeply, we collect real-time market data that can help research, business and provide important data to tailor local solutions for affordable housing.
Collaborating with partners, we’ve designed ratings that grade affordable housing projects on the basis of technical standards and conditions conducive to creating a livelihood in or from the area.
We work with multiple practitioners and the government to enable better policy that can enable quality affordable housing at scale on a local and national level.
Working with networks of hybrid entrepreneurs who can act as a bridge between developers, financiers and citizen sector organisations we hope to create an ecosystem that catalyses and executes housing projects in multiple locations.
It’s important that stakeholders in the affordable housing space work together to create solutions. We’re working to create a collaboration and discussion platform that will help connect everyone, from government to private players to planners.
What will it take to solve the affordable housing problem? What are the best ways and means to tackle the issue? The IHF’s research division hopes to answer questions like these and more.
From the private sector to the government, from developers to planners, we are open to partnering with organisations and individuals who want to create long-term scalable solutions to housing. The IHF is facilitating this by creating platforms for information exchange and collaboration. Through workshops and conferences, we hope to get stakeholders involved in creating dialogue that informs, educates and promotes the creation of holistic solutions.
