Enterprise, an America based nonprofit that addresses the country’s affordable housing challenges is organising a webinar on ‘Reimagining Affordable Housing Through the Lens of Trauma Resiliency’. This webinar is fourth in the six-part Housing Innovations series, which will feature one of the winning entries - Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH) of the Housing Affordability Breakthrough Challenge. The session will cover health and equity concerns in a person-centered approach to the affordable housing industry. 

This webinar is fourth in the six-part Housing Innovations series, which will feature one of the winning ideas, ‘designing trauma-resilient communities’, which covers health and equity concern in person-centered approach to the affordable housing industry. This panel will feature cross-cutting voices from design, behavioral health, community development and affordable housing in conversation about the future of a person-centered approach to affordable housing management, services and physical space.

The session will be moderated by Ms. Caitlin Behle (Senior Social Innovation Specialist, Design Impact). The expert panel comprises: Ms. Alejandra Cervantes Enriquez (Junior Associate, MASS Design Group); Ms. Julianna Stuart (Vice President of Community Impact, Preservation of Affordable Housing [POAH]); Ms. Daphney Thomas (Community Impact Manager, POAH); and Ms. Kreasha Williams (Projects Coordinator, Truman Medical Centers, Center for Trauma Informed Innovation). 

The series delves into the research, policies and practices that inform and drive housing decisions nationwide. The next two sessions in the series are:

  • Re-Engineering the Affordable Housing Supply Chain on May 19, 2021, featuring Forterra and their winning idea of ‘prototyping modular cross-laminated timber’. 

  • Attracting Health Care Payors to Housing Investment on June 23, 2021, featuring Gulf Coast Housing Partnership and their winning idea, ‘health + housing’.
