Dvara Research is organising an annual conference on ‘Household Finance’ supported by the Household Finance Research Initiative (HFRI) at Dvara Research aims to understand how low-income households use financial and non-financial instruments to attain their objectives.
As part of this conference, Dvara had invited research proposals, in May 2020, on themes pertaining to financial inclusion and household finance research. After screening, ten teams were shortlisted who will now present their research outputs at this conference. The conference will also feature eminent speakers for keynote sessions, expert talks and panel discussion on various themes of household finance.
The conference will feature presentations and discussions on the following themes over five days from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Day 1: Portfolios of Migrant Households
Day 2: Household Portfolios
Day 3: Innovations in Household Finance
Day 4: Gender Differences in Intra - Household Finance; Savings by Urban Low-Income Households; and Crop Insurance
Day 5: Applied Data Science in Household Finance Research
The conference is being organised in collaboration with Robert Bosch Centre for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at IIT Madras as the knowledge partner and Omidyar Network India, Transunion, Dvara KGFS as the funding partners.
