The objective of the round table discussion was to explore innovative solutions to increase the uptake of the state’s recent policy (scheme) to develop affordable housing in partnership (AHP with private developers). The participants included key stakeholders such as bureaucrats from state and local governments, development organisations, developers, architects, financing organisations, infrastructure lenders, consultants and media.

IHF conducted a day long workshop at Mumbai with a twofold objective of disseminating the initial findings of this research and, outlining its experiences and learnings from the multi-level engagements in 2015-16. Additionally, IHF used this opportunity to update stakeholders on its future plans.

A Symposium on Affordable Housing
Indian Housing Federation organised a symposium on affordable housing along with Gujarat-based non-governmental organisation SAATH and their housing division Griha Pravesh in June. The symposium was held to further affordable housing work in Gujarat with a focus on Vadodara as a city to catalyse efforts on affordable housing in the area.
